John,
Peace was shattered as 200 Christians were massacred by 40 gunmen who stormed a quiet Christian refugee village in Nigeria, shouting, "Allahu Akbar."
Those on the ground called this late-evening attack the "bloodiest massacre on record."
The slaughter was of mostly women and children – displaced Christian families who tragically thought they had found refuge in this village from the very Islamic radicals who arrived to terrorize them.
A local youth leader provided the stark reality: "We're still finding bodies in the bushes." ISIS-linked militias want nothing more than to wipe out Christians.
That's why the ACLJ JUST filed a critical intervention on Nigeria at the U.N. Human Rights Council. We're taking the cries of Christians – families hunted, churches burned, villages massacred – and placing them squarely before the international community. Nations complicit through silence must be held accountable.
Since our founding, the ACLJ has been dedicated to defending Christians in the most hostile regions of the world. Your support is urgently needed to successfully continue. Have your gift DOUBLED through our 35 Years of Victory Drive: $5 becomes $10; $20 becomes $40.
Have Your Gift DOUBLED To Defend Dying Christians.
The killing continues in Syria with the massacre of Syrian Pastor Mezher and his 20 relatives. They were among the over 1,400 civilians butchered by militant Islamists.
Church leaders are pleading for global intervention. In just days, we're returning to the U.N. in Geneva to present interventions on Christian persecution and human rights violations. The violence is intensifying with these atrocities following a deadly church bombing. The time to act is now – add your voice.
