Republicans know their credibility is shot so they’re attacking Democrats.

Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and their Republican friends are worried about their chances this year -- and they should be, John. Just take a look at these recent headlines:

Republicans’ new fear: Trump will drag them down with him

How the Trump Effect Could Lift Democratic Senate Candidates
The New York Times

Democrats are in a historically strong position -- including in key Senate races in competitive battleground states like Arizona, Colorado, Maine, and North Carolina. But Trump and co.’s three-year fundraising head start means they’re already launching thousands of attack ads to smear Joe Biden and Democrats down the ticket -- not to mention the $20 million investment in voter suppression tactics the RNC recently announced.

Our momentum is in no small part because of the investments Democrats are making right now -- early on in the race -- when it matters most. But falling short of our quarterly fundraising goal ahead of Tuesday's deadline could have a devastating impact on not just winning back the White House, but winning seats up and down the ballot nationwide.

Democratic candidates nationwide are counting on supporters like you to build the resources they’ll need to combat Donald Trump and the GOP. So, will you be one of 292 more supporters from Washington to donate $7 to the DNC before Tuesday’s end-of-quarter deadline?

I know you’re committed to defeating Donald Trump in November, John. But these headlines make it clear that if we invest strategically and build our movement, we can flip the Senate, too. Taking the Senate away from Mitch McConnell and his allies is going to be critical for President Joe Biden to actually pass policies that reflect our Democratic values.

Campaigning now looks different than it did four months ago, but one core tenant remains the same: We have to master the fundamentals and build from there. From organizing in battleground states, to expanding our digital ads investments, to advancing voter protection litigation, and supporting candidates across the country, the urgent support of Democrats like you before Tuesday's critical deadline will determine just how well we can scale up these programs and strategies before Election Day.

If you're able, please donate $7 before Tuesday to be one of 292 more Democrats from Washington to help elect Joe Biden and thousands of Democrats nationwide this year. There couldn’t be a more important moment to make an investment in our work.

Thanks for being in this fight. Stay safe.
