I heard Donald Trump is going after me for telling the truth, so here it
is again:
Deploying the National Guard in D.C. lacks seriousness and is deeply
dangerous.
John xxxxxx, I don’t
listen to criticism from chicken hawks.
People who talk tough but have never worn a uniform besides Brooks
Brothers suits should not use our service members for political games.
As the commander-in-chief of the Maryland National Guard, I know what they
are trained on. I know what it means to ask someone to put their life at
risk, and what that means you are asking of their families. This political
ploy isn’t it.
If the White House wants to get serious about public safety, they should
talk to us. We’ve achieved some of the most impressive drops in violent
crime in the country and Baltimore is the safest it's been in 50 years.
This stunt by the Trump administration is BS, and it has to stop.
