In response to D.C. Mayor Bowser's refusal to prevent violent crime,
corruption, and voting by non-citizens I introduced the BOWSER Act – which
would repeal the disastrous D.C. Home Rule and restore federal oversight.
The Constitution makes it clear that the city of Washington is under federal
jurisdiction NOT local.Congress needs to reclaim that power.
The American people want a safe city to serve as our nation's capital, and the
D.C. government's incompetence is an embarrassment.
I'm asking for your help, Friend. We need to get Congress on board and we need
to pass the BOWSER Act ASAP.

Don't just take my word for it – the failures of the D.C. government have
included:
* A persistent pattern of public corruption, highlighted by recent federal
bribery allegations involving Councilmember Trayon White.
* Ongoing violent crimes committed by teen gangs, including brazen
carjackings and brutal attacks, captured on video in public transit areas.
* Incidents where Members of Congress and their staff have been targeted in
assaults and robberies.
* Lenient criminal justice policies that embolden offenders and put
law-abiding residents at risk.
* Permitting non-citizens to participate in local elections.
* Burdensome and outdated regulations that contribute to soaring living
expenses. This is why I'm demanding action by passing the Bowser Act. DC
safety means NATIONAL security.Please spread the word if you agree that the
