John,
Mass shootings aren’t rare in America. They’re happening every week, in every corner of the country — from schools and stores to bars and neighborhood porches.
In just the past several weeks,
- Three people were shot and killed at a Target store in Austin, Texas during back-to-school shopping.
- Four people were killed in a shooting at The Owl Bar in Anaconda, Montana.
- Four dead in a shooting in an office building, the deadliest in NYC in decades.
- A drive-by attack outside a Chicago nightclub left four dead and 14 wounded.
- A man fired 180 rounds at the CDC headquarters in Atlanta before killing a police officer.
These tragedies are not isolated incidents. They’re part of the daily reality of gun violence in this country.
This shouldn’t be a political issue — it’s about keeping kids safe, making sure families can gather without fear, and protecting every community from the heartbreak of gun violence.
Will you sign on now to support our petition and tell Congress that it’s time for real action to end gun violence?
Thank you for taking action,
— Democratic Values
