90 years ago today, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act of 1935 into law — a bold step that transformed retirement and provided dignity, stability, and economic security for millions of Americans.
Since then, Social Security has become one of our nation’s most successful and essential programs, serving seniors, people with disabilities, and families who rely on its vital benefits.
But make no mistake: The MAGA agenda still threatens Social Security.
While others play politics with the futures of hardworking Americans, I remain steadfast in my support for Social Security and the millions of seniors in Georgia and across the country who depend on it. Will you stand with me in defending Social Security?
I’ve seen firsthand how this program has helped families in my district — from parents caring for disabled children to seniors who worked their whole lives and deserve to retire with dignity.
I will never stop fighting to ensure Social Security remains protected for this generation and the next. But with the House under Republican control, we’ve got to hold the line — and the first step is showing our strength in numbers.
