Team,
Ninety years ago today, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act into law — creating one of the most successful and popular government programs in American history.
For generations, Social Security has delivered on a simple promise: If you work hard and pay in, you’ll retire with dignity and basic economic security.
But that promise is under attack.
Republican leaders have floated ideas to weaken Social Security — from raising the retirement age, to limiting benefits, to pushing for privatization. These efforts haven’t gone away, and we can’t take this program for granted.
Pat is fighting back. When DOGE came after Poughkeepsie’s Social Security office he fought back—and won. And he’s made it clear where he stands:
We need to protect and expand Social Security, not gut it. Protect benefits, not gamble them away. And stand up for the millions of Americans who count on it to make ends meet.
If you agree, add your name today and show you stand with Pat in defending Social Security.
We can’t afford to go backward. Not after 90 years of progress.
