It's downright outrageous, folks.
Seemingly every day we learn of new ways Donald Trump is using his power to:
- Make himself and his family even richer while his on-again-off-again tariffs raise prices for hardworking Americans and millions stand to lose their health care coverage
- Weaponize trusted, nonpartisan institutions to go after his political opponents
- And allow unqualified, incompetent political appointees to threaten our national security
The American people voted for Donald Trump to lower the cost of living and make our communities safer. He’s doing the exact opposite of that. No one voted for this chaos and corruption.
But here’s the unfortunate reality: Senate Republicans have been nothing but a rubber stamp for this unhinged president.
We frankly cannot trust Senate Republicans to do the right thing when it comes to standing up to Donald Trump. We need to take back the Senate for Democrats so that we can finally put some guardrails on this president.
And we simply cannot lose Virginia if we want any chance of flipping the balance of power in Washington.
