The Village of Oswego is currently accepting applications for a full-time Training Coordinator to oversee public safety training within the Oswego Police Department.
This position is ideal for candidates with a solid understanding of employee training practices, law enforcement operations, and a strong attention to detail. Primary responsibilities include developing and executing the department’s annual training calendar, ensuring compliance with Mobile Training Unit (MTU) requirements, department policies, Illinois Police Accreditation Program standards, and Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) standards. The role also involves managing the training budget, maintaining detailed training records, identifying best practices in law enforcement training, and pursuing applicable public safety grants.
The salary range for this position is $61,246 to $86,969, depending on qualifications. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), and paid time off.
