Trump is invoking emergency powers to take control of over 3,000 D.C. police officers, putting them under the command of his Attorney General, Pam Bondi. He's flooding the streets with federal agents.

His justification? He claims D.C. is "one of the most dangerous cities anywhere in the world" — despite violent crime trending down for the second straight year.
