JOHN,
When I talk with Rhode Islanders, one thing is crystal clear: People are working harder than ever, and still struggling to keep up.
Meanwhile, Trump and House Republicans pushed through their Big Ugly Bill: another massive handout to billionaires and big corporations. They’ve rigged the system to benefit the ultra-wealthy while everyday Americans fall further behind.
Here’s what I’m fighting for instead:
✔ A tax break for the middle class and those working to join it, because working families deserve relief, not just the ultra-rich.
✔ Enhanced Social Security benefits, because our seniors have earned peace of mind, not cuts.
✔ A right to unionize, because no one should be punished for standing up for better pay and safer working conditions.
✔ ️ Paid time off for all workers, because no one should have to choose between a paycheck and their health or family.
I’m in Washington to fight for working people, but we’re up against a well-funded MAGA machine that will stop at nothing to hold onto power and pad the pockets of their wealthy donors.
That’s why I’m asking. Can you chip in $10 or whatever you can to our campaign to show that this movement is powered by regular people, not billionaires?
We’ve seen what happens when people stay quiet and let the powerful make the rules. I’m not here to play by their rules, I’m here to rewrite them.
Thanks for being in this fight with me.
— Seth
