Asian American Action Fund Announces First Slate of 2026 Congressional Endorsements
Washington,D.C. — The Asian American Action Fund (AAAFund) proudly announces its first round of endorsements for the critical 2026 congressional elections, supporting a powerhouse slate of leaders committed to representing the voices and values of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities nationwide.
The endorsed candidates are:
● Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-08) – Candidate for U.S. Senate, Illinois
● Eric Chung – Candidate for U.S. House, Michigan’s 10th District
● Amish Shah – Candidate for U.S. House, Arizona’s 1st District
● Anuj Dixit – Candidate for U.S. House, California’s 41st District
AAAFund National Chair Albert Shen underscored the stakes in this election cycle and the need for urgency:
“The 2026 midterm elections will determine whether our nation moves forward or slides into an era of unprecedented regression. If Democrats do not win, there is no telling how dark Trump and the GOP will go — on civil rights, gerrymandering, immigrant protections, access to healthcare, small business opportunities, and the very fabric of our democracy. But let’s be clear: Trump has vulnerabilities, just like every other person, and it’s time we start swinging back. This slate represents a new generation of leaders who will fight back relentlessly for AAPI communities and all Americans, and we will stand with them every step of the way.”
With the AAPI population being the fastest-growing racial group in the United States — and a decisive voting bloc in swing states and competitive districts — AAAFund’s endorsements aim to mobilize voters, resources, and grassroots energy early in the cycle.
The organization will launch a coordinated campaign to support these candidates through targeted outreach, digital engagement, and fundraising efforts, ensuring AAPI voices are heard loudly in 2026 and beyond.
