Hi John,

Right now, the president has deployed National Guard troops to Washington, DC, to fight alleged out of control crime – despite crime in the city lowering in the past 30 years and the homicide rate dropping 35% since 2023. 

This is becoming a pattern: Earlier this year he deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles and has threatened other cities, including New York, Chicago, and Baltimore. In none of these instances was help requested by governors of the states or the mayor of DC, which is the standard procedure. 

And because these troops are being deployed without requests from state governors, they are under the control of the President, not the state. 

This isn't freedom. It's an abuse of power. And it must be stopped. 

Tell your Congressperson to stand up for the rule of law and say NO to unrequested troops in American cities.
