DES starts solicitation to replace employment and income verification and public records search services contract
DES is starting solicitation for contract 10925, employment and income verification and public records search services, to succeed statewide contract 00220, which expires July 31, 2026.
Services on this solicitation can be used to:
- Confirm previous employment of a job applicant
- Determine client eligibility for state/government benefits
- Conduct public record searches
We are looking for purchasers and subject matter experts to help us develop this contract. If you are interested, join our kickoff meeting on August 27 at 11 a.m. Attendees will learn more about the solicitation process, time commitment, and responsibilities.

DES needs your input on bulk solid waste and recycling equipment contract
DES is looking for purchasers and subject matter experts to share their feedback about awarding vendors on contract 07325, bulk solid waste and recycling equipment. This is a cooperative contract from the statewide agreements that are executed and posted on Sourcewell for facilities' bulk solid waste and recycling equipment.
Sourcewell awarded five contractors that can be considered for participating on Washington’s contract.
Please complete the survey with your agency’s interest by August 25 to help DES determine which contractors should be awarded in Washington.

DES adds manufacturer to survey and mapping equipment and supplies contract
DES has added the manufacturer Radiodetection to contract 24123, survey and mapping equipment, to Frontier Precision’s product list. The contract now has Radiodetection products for category 1 – Survey and Mapping Land Equipment.

DES adds additional awards for electrical supplies
DES adds additional awards to contract 11121, electrical supplies. The additional contracts will take effect August 18.

Help us develop a generator statewide contract
DES is considering doing a new contract for generators and is looking for purchasers and subject matter experts to share their experience and feedback with us.
We are requesting those interested purchasers to complete a survey to help in the determination if a statewide contract is warranted. Please complete our survey by Sept. 5.

DES has added Iron Mountain Information Management, LLC to contract 03124, digital storage media and document destruction services, effective July 31. Iron Mountain Information Management, LLC is available for Category 2, On/Off-Site Paper Destruction and Purging, for all regions.
