If you’re looking for a tangible way to help support the pro-democracy movement, volunteering with the Vote Forward community is a great place to start.
 
Our letter writing campaigns are simple, effective, and easy to join, with research showing they still make a measurable impact on turnout, especially in races that don’t get as much national attention.
 
Right now, our campaign to reach voters in this year’s Pennsylvania Supreme Court campaign is already underway. And this year we’re even testing a new tactic: writing letters that invite the reader to respond and get connected with a group of trained Vote Forward volunteers.
 
This is the first time we’ve designed a letter writing program that creates a two-way conversation between voters and trained volunteers. It’s an experiment that will help inform the future of voter contact efforts, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.

Although the Pennsylvania Supreme Court race is a state-level election, it will have repercussions for people in all 50 states. Here’s why everyone, including those living outside of Pennsylvania, should care about it:

- The outcome of this race could shift the balance of power on the court for years to come

- In recent years the court has decided major questions about voting rights, partisan gerrymandering, and election certification that have influenced national elections in 2018, 2020, and 2022

- If the balance of power on the court does change, its record of preserving fairness in national elections could be upended
