Unfortunately for Democrats, the stakes of the upcoming 2025 Pennsylvania Supreme Court judicial retention election couldn’t be higher, and no one is talking about it. “Unusually aggressive” is an understatement. The GOP is preparing to spend presidential type election money, in the tens if not hundreds of millions, in this often overlooked judicial election. MAGA is laser focused on this election, but Democrats, rightfully focused on flipping the House, have sadly forgotten about this race, and we are sleepwalking into disaster. If the GOP takes the PA Supreme Court majority, it will spell doom for Dems in PA and across the nation. A red PA Supreme Court will help the GOP to grow their House majority by engineering safe blue House seats into new red ones through gerrymandering. It will also ensure that there is no judicial oversight body to challenge MAGA election rigging schemes in the 2026 midterms and in the 2028 presidential election. Newsweek just reported that MAGA is weeks away from surpassing Democratic voter registration in PA for the first time ever. We are screaming from the rooftops that we cannot sleep on this race. Democrats can win here and retain our Supreme Court majority, but only if we get the word out. Most Pennsylvania Democratic voters don't know there is a critical election this year, and that's where Defend Our Courts comes in.
