I love this photo.

This was the moment, one year ago last night, when I learned that we had won our hard-fought primary race.

The moment I learned that I would be trusted with another two years serving my community in Minneapolis in Congress.

We went up against multiple challengers and the special interests that backed their campaigns.

But that night, the special interests lost and our movement won.

Now this team faces its next big challenge: Opposing Trump’s disastrous presidency and his legislative agenda with everything we’ve got.

It can’t be overstated how dangerous Trump really is. He’s using ICE as a secret police force. He’s continually defied the law and the Constitution. He’s kicked millions off their health care plans and food assistance. He’s taking control of American cities with the National Guard. And the list goes on.

If we are to have more joyful moments like we did one year ago, more big wins, and more progress made for the American people, we have to stand in solidarity with each other and totally defeat the far-right at the ballot box, in the public square, and in every one of our communities.
