Despite New Jersey being one of the best states to live in because of the people, culture, and all it has to offer, we know that costs are still too damn high.

A recent poll showed that for 86% of Americans, the cost of groceries is a stress in their lives right now. That is absolutely unacceptable.

STANDING WITH NEW JERSEY’S FIRST RESPONDERS:

I’m grateful to first responders like Captain Bob Penn who put their lives on the line during 9/11.

When Bob approached me at a town hall in Westfield, NJ and told me that the Trump Administration cut critical support for first responders like him, we jumped into action.

CELEBRATING COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS:

Last week was National Health Center Week. Community health centers play a critical role in delivering accessible, high-quality care to people in New Jersey and across the country.

That’s why our team was in Lakewood, Pleasantville, Plainfield, Jersey City, and Camden, NJ, speaking with community members and sharing helpful resources.

FIGHTING TO PROTECT SOCIAL SECURITY:

Every American deserves to retire with dignity.

Thursday, August 14th marked 90 years since the Social Security Act was signed into law. Despite this milestone, we face immense challenges when it comes to protecting social security. The Trump Administration continues to gut the Social Security Administration and make it harder for Americans to receive the benefits they've worked hard for and earned.

In New Jersey, 1 in 5 residents rely on social security to take care of themselves and their families. At a community conversation in West Windsor, NJ, I heard directly from folks who are concerned about losing benefits and the harm the Trump admin is causing.

This fight will take all of us.

RESPONDING TO TRUMP’S ATTACKS ON WASHINGTON DC:

Earlier this week, Senator Kim responded to Trump's federalization of the DC Metro Police Department and deployment of the National Guard in our nation’s capitol.

Senator Kim said: “This is Donald Trump gaslighting the American people so he can seize more power; it will do nothing to make Americans safer...

His threats to deploy more U.S. military to American cities is yet another attempt to strike fear into Americans all for his political gain.”

Our alliances and partnerships around the globe are one of the strongest tools we have to ensure a safe, prosperous, and secure future for our country.

That's why Senator Kim introduced the Partnership for Indo-Pacific Industrial Resilience Authorization Act to establish a security cooperation initiative and strengthen these critical alliances.

Together, we can create a stronger world for our kids to grow up in.
