John,
As students and teachers prepare to head back to school, we’re reminded of the power of education and what it makes possible.
That same spirit drives our work at Emerge. We’re preparing Democratic women across the country to step up, speak out, and lead, whether that’s on a school board, in the statehouse, or in Congress.
Many of these women are teachers themselves.
Over 300 Emerge alums are current or former educators who’ve seen firsthand what’s at stake in our classrooms and communities, and who are stepping up to lead. One example is Congresswoman Becca Balint, a former middle school teacher from Vermont who became the first woman and first out LGBTQ+ person to represent her state in Congress.
These are the women who will fight for reproductive rights, defend our democracy, and challenge extremism at every level. But like every great education, our programs require resources.
Can you chip in $10 or more today to help us continue training the women who are ready to lead?
Just like students returning to the classroom, Emerge women are showing up ready to learn, ready to lead, and ready to change the future.
Let’s give them everything they need to succeed.
Gratefully,
Ashley Floyd
