A trip down memory lane...

Patriot,

A supporter called our office the other day, and in the conversation, I was asked how long I’ve worked for Dr. Paul.

It was refreshing to take a short break from the political battles of the day to take a trip down memory lane and reflect on the man who inspired millions to fight for their liberty.

I started working for Dr. Paul, whose ideals I had embraced for some time, in 2011 during his last presidential run.

Our first meeting was the morning after the Republican debate at the Ronald Reagan Library in California.

I was running an event for Ron Paul supporters. Early that morning, I went to the hotel’s continental breakfast for a cup of coffee and a bagel. A few minutes later, in walks Dr. Paul who helps himself to a bowl of cereal, a glass of juice, and then sits down to catch up on the headlines.

This was his pattern every morning while on campaign trail – just a regular guy, quietly eating his breakfast with a newspaper spread in front of him and the news playing in the background.

Before I introduced myself, I had to laugh as the news report on the TV was about the debate the night before. The hotel employee kept looking at the TV, then Dr. Paul, then the TV, then Dr. Paul . . . I thought his neck was going to snap!

Since that day almost 14 years ago, I’ve come to respect Ron Paul even more for his steadfast commitment to liberty, to the Constitution, and to our rights.

I was fortunate to be on the campaign trail with Dr. Paul for the next year and getting to know him better.

And I’ve been even more fortunate to work for him at Campaign for Liberty, the organization he founded in 2008 to put pressure on our elected officials to uphold the Constitution and put our country on the right track to reclaiming the Republic our founders intended for each of us.

It goes without saying - Ron Paul has done more to expose the Federal Reserve, its flaws, and the problems it has created for our country than anyone else in our history.

The so-called “experts” said Americans were too dumb to understand economic policies and the Federal Reserve.

But Ron Paul proved the “experts” wrong on the Federal Reserve issue, not to mention many other issues the “experts” expect you and me to just go along with, such as government spying, the CBDC, a National ID, government overreach, an interventionist foreign policy, and much, much more.

It’s a little amusing to see the popular Internet meme -– “Ron Paul was right!” -– pop up when many politicians and talking heads come around on issues years after Dr. Paul made his stance known.

As you may be aware, next week is Dr. Paul’s 90th birthday.

We’ve had thousands of birthday messages pouring in for him.

These messages will be delivered to Dr. Paul next week, and I’d like to include yours as well.

Can you take a moment to write out your birthday note to Dr. Paul so I can give it to him?

I’d also ask you to consider making a donation to Campaign for Liberty after you sign your online card.

The work Dr. Paul and other Campaign for Liberty supporters do for the liberty cause is so important.

You and I both know politicians won’t do the right thing simply because of a party label or because they once did something positive on an issue years ago.

Campaign for Liberty’s work keeps the pressure on those who make decisions that affect you and me in so many ways.

If we are ever going to see an audit (and end) of the Federal Reserve, you and I must keep pushing.

If we want to ban the Central Bank Digital Currency, you and I must keep fighting.

If we want to get our government to stop funding wars all around the globe, you and I must keep yelling.

And organizing these critical battles isn’t cheap.

Ron Paul founded Campaign for Liberty 17 years ago to push, fight, and yell so our government can be held accountable. You and I have had some great victories, but there have been losses along the way.

Still, we cannot give up.

So I’m asking you today to please sign your online birthday card for Dr. Paul and then consider a donation to keep his and your Campaign for Liberty going strong.

Thank you.

For liberty,

John McCardell

P.S. Ron Paul’s birthday is less than a week away!
