Hi Friend,
We’ve got a big announcement: After five years of working with advocates like you to hold Big Tech accountable, we’ve made the decision to wind down operations and focus our efforts on our partner, the youth-led coalition Design It For Us (DIFU). To stay informed about how we can continue to fight back against Big Tech, subscribe to Design It For Us now.

Over the past five years, we’ve seen everyone from policymakers, advocates, and royalty to teachers, moms, and teenagers take a stand against Big Tech. Now, we’re doubling down on our work to empower and protect young people online.
We’re making this decision not because the fight is over, but because we know that when we win against Big Tech, it will be with young people at the helm. They’ve grown up with Big Tech and have the lived experience to advocate for a future where corporations put people’s wellbeing, safety, and privacy over profit.

In just five years, we’ve accomplished so much: From defining surveillance advertising, a phrase now used industry-wide [1]; exposing how Google was collecting and retaining abortion seekers sensitive data after the fall of Roe [2]; to publishing research with DIFU that showed just how dangerous Instagram’s “Teen Accounts” actually are for young people [3]; and more.
Our fight doesn’t end here. In fact, it will only ramp up with young people taking charge. We’re so excited to see all that Design It For Us will accomplish, but they’ll need your support to make it happen. Keep up to date on their work and ensure that together, we can hold Big Tech accountable now and into the future.
We’re so grateful to have had your support over these five years, and we’re so excited for what the future holds.
In solidarity,
Nicole Gill
Co-founder and Executive Director

We see the irony of asking you to follow us on the same platforms we’re fighting to hold accountable, but they are… well… dominant. We have to reach people where they are in order to level the playing field – and we’re ready to bring the fight right to their own platforms. But let us know – what other platforms would you like to see us on? Reply to this email with your answers!
