Friend,
As a retired Air Force JAG and former professor, I’ve spent my entire career rooted in a simple principle: honesty is not optional in public service; it’s a requirement.
That used to be a given. But somewhere along the way, Washington lost its moral compass.
Today, we have career politicians who bend the truth, chase power, and line the pockets of the ultra-wealthy, while hardworking Americans are left behind.
We’re watching our institutions hollow out and our leaders turn away from the values that built this country — decency, hard work, and helping your neighbor. You know, the values we grew up on.
That’s why I’m running for U.S. Senate as an Independent. Because South Dakotans deserve a voice in Washington who will speak the truth, serve with integrity, and put people over party every single time.
New polling shows that our message of honest, independent leadership is cutting through the noise. Only 35% of South Dakotans approve of their current Senator, Mike Rounds, and when voters hear positive bios for both Mike Rounds and me, I come out leading by 8 points.
My lectures at Northern State University regularly focused on justice and political accountability, and I told my students something I still believe: Knowledge means nothing without the character to act on it.
That’s what this campaign is about: bringing knowledge, character, and honesty back to public service. If you believe in that mission, I hope you’ll stand with me by chipping in before tomorrow’s mid-quarter deadline:
Every dollar helps us reach more voters and build a campaign that embodies the best of South Dakota.
We don’t take orders from party bosses or corporate PACs; this campaign is powered by people like you. And with your help, we’ll bring independent, honest leadership to the U.S. Senate.
Thank you for believing in a better way forward.
