If you’re one of the millions of Americans (including yours truly) who is fed up and frustrated with politics right now — really, all kinds of politics — we’re in the same boat.

If that sounds like you, then I’m asking for your support before our next fundraising deadline tomorrow night. And listen, I know that asking for a donation in an email like this is, well, probably part of the reason why you’re frustrated with politics. But if we want to change politics, we need to elect people who are willing to put in the work — and that requires resources, plain and simple.

If you feel the urge to click away from this email and just tune out any kind of politics for the next three and a half years, I really can’t blame you.

Every day, it feels like Donald Trump announces a new scheme to restrict our civil liberties, attack LGBTQ+ people, and further stack the deck in favor of the wealthy and well-connected.

At the same time, the National Republicans who run Congress seem wholly uninterested in acting like an equal branch of government. Instead, they’re more than happy to sit back and wait for Trump’s next decree — all while they rake in unbelievable sums of money from billionaires and big corporations as a reward for their indifference.

Depressing doesn’t even begin to describe the status quo in Washington right now. But that doesn’t mean we should wave the white flag and just allow National Republicans to get away with it. It means it’s up to us — and us alone — to change it.

And the single best way to change the status quo? Elect a Democratic majority next year. It’s that simple.

But here’s the thing: Next year’s election right here in KS-03 is going to be one of the hardest-fought races in the entire country, so I need your help to hold this seat. Can you chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can to put our grassroots campaign on the path to victory?
