How the Final Budget Bill Impacts Birds and Communities
The budget reconciliation bill, signed into law last month, includes some unfortunate setbacks for habitat conservation and climate. However, thanks to an outpouring of public opposition, a provision to sell off public lands was removed. The bill also preserved critical programs to help farmers and ranchers conserve habitat.
