Government Meetings   NEWS FROM AUBURN, MAINE   TRAFFIC ALERT: BALLOON FESTIVAL WEEKEND We know it's been a bit challenging to make your way around downtown Auburn recently. With summer construction season in full swing, delays are plentiful, and we appreciate your patience. That said, this is L-A Balloon Festival weekend, and motorists should expect DELAYS & TRAFFIC from Friday through Sunday. SATURDAY (8/16) will be particularly busy here in Auburn: Main Street will be CLOSED at 7:00AM as we set-up for Auburn Blues, Brews & Cruise 2025 and it will remain closed all day until approximately 7:00PM. Learn more: www.auburnblues.com Additionally, the Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival Parade will take place on Saturday morning starting at 10:00AM. There will be brief road closures as the parade takes place. It will step off from the corner of Elm & Main Streets and continue down Main, through New Auburn, and over the Lown Bridge to Lewiston.
