John,
BREAKING: Trump’s actions in DC and Texas are impeachable. We’ve now EXPANDED our grounds for impeaching and removing Trump from public office.
We have less than a month left before our representatives return to Capitol Hill. That means every member of Congress needs to hear from their constituents about impeachment in the next few weeks.
Want to know how you can take action? Check out our August Recess Impeachment Toolkit! [[link removed]]

Trump has committed multiple [[link removed]] impeachable offenses in August alone:
* Unlawfully mobilizing military forces against civilians in the United States: Trump is abusing his power over the military to mobilize troops against civilians throughout the United States, in an effort to instill fear in the civilian population, quell lawful political dissent, politicize our military, and usurp local and state authority. These unlawful abuses of power include [[link removed]] placing the District of Columbia police under federal control and deploying 800 DC National Guard troops throughout Washington, DC, purportedly to respond to crime in the city and break up encampments where unhoused people live. Trump took similar action in Los Angeles in June in response to civilian protests against ICE and has threatened to mobilize military forces in other cities [[link removed]].
* Attempting to manipulate congressional districts to entrench his own power: Trump has pressured Texas Republicans [[link removed]] to unlawfully gerrymander [[link removed]] the state’s congressional districts to pick up five additional seats and threatened to weaponize the FBI [[link removed]] to track down Texas legislators who have fled the state to protect their constituents, in violation of the Hatch Act [[link removed]] . He is also directing the Department of Commerce to conduct a mid-decade census that excludes undocumented U.S. residents in order to redraw congressional districts, violating both the Fourteenth Amendment [[link removed]] and Article I, Section 2 [[link removed]] of the U.S. Constitution.
Donald Trump has violated the Constitution and committed multiple high crimes. The appropriate response to his actions, outlined in the Constitution, is the impeachment and removal process, a responsibility of Congress. We need Congress to do its job and hold Trump accountable with impeachment. The August recess is an opportunity for us to make that message clear to Members of Congress.
We’re witnessing an inflection point for our democracy. Now is the time to act.
