By now, you may have seen what’s going on in Texas.

Republican politicians are drawing voting maps that all but guarantee they stay in power — no matter what voters want. They’ve carved up communities of color, diluted the voting power of young people, and rigged the system.

And it’s not just happening in Texas. We’ve seen it right here in North Carolina. In 2023, I was drawn out of my 50-50, fair district by Republicans in Raleigh so that I couldn’t run again.

Unless we stand up and fight back, it’ll only get worse. Donald Trump knows he’s in trouble for the 2026 midterms - so he’s trying to cheat and get 5 more seats for Republicans before a single vote is cast.

This isn’t what democracy is supposed to look like. The people are supposed to choose their leaders, not the other way around.

I believe in a government that’s accountable to you. That starts with fair maps, fair elections, and elected officials who listen to their constituents. Are you with me?
