Friend,
Pangolins are quiet, gentle animals that have existed for millions of years. Also known as “scaly anteaters,” they have long snouts and powerful claws, help keep insect populations in balance, and are unlike any other mammal on the planet.
Today, pangolins are being hunted to the brink of extinction—poached for their meat and scales, which are used in traditional medicine despite having no proven benefits. Over a million pangolins have been killed in the past decade alone.
World Animal Protection is working to change that—by raising awareness, partnering with traditional medicine practitioners to promote ethical alternatives, and advocating for stronger laws to protect them. But we need your help. |
