Hey folks – Andy Beshear here, Governor of Kentucky and Vice Chair of the DGA, with something I want to make very clear:

If you feel like the current president is against you, I want you to know that Democratic governors are with you.

While the Trump administration dismantles the Department of Education, we’re expanding free school meals for children in our states. While the GOP implements their extreme budget bill that rips away health care for millions, we’re making prescription drugs more affordable.

And while Republicans are continuing to ignore the priorities of average Americans, we’re addressing them head on, making progress and delivering results nationwide.

But it’s never been more clear that this fight is going to take all of us – and that starts with your response today to help us inform our strategy as we approach the first set of governors’ races of Trump’s term in a few short months. So today, I’m asking you to complete my official DGA Vice Chair Priorities Survey and help develop our strategy to fight back against Trump’s chaotic agenda. As a second-term governor, Andy Beshear has a long record of accomplishments. He has restored voting rights to nearly 200,000 Kentuckians, secured low-cost health care for tens of thousands, had the best economic development year on record, and had the lowest unemployment rate in state history. He won his first election by just 5,136 votes and his second by 5 percentage points because Kentuckians and folks across the country know that he will work every day to make Americans’ lives better – from jobs to infrastructure, health care, public education, and so much more.

Now he’s serving as DGA Vice Chair to continue the fight for progress by electing Democratic governors across the country.
