According to The Washington Post, while on the campaign trail, Trump, the self-proclaimed father of IVF (🙄), said that the government would either pay for IVF services or issue rules requiring insurance companies to cover treatment for it:
“The government is going to pay for it, or we’re going to get — we’ll mandate your insurance company to pay for it, which is going to be great. We’re going to do that. We want to produce babies in this country, right?”
So, what happened to the plan? Where’s the insurance coverage for IVF? We’ll tell you – this is another empty promise. This article reports that the Trump Administration has no actual plans to get insurers to cover IVF.
Trump makes promises he can’t keep to appeal to voters. And – we have a newsflash for you – Republicans running for office in Virginia are going to do the same thing.
No matter what they say, not a single Republican in the VA House of Delegates voted for our amendment to enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution, and they have no desire to protect birth control either. The GOP is not to be trusted, and that is why we must work together to elect a pro-choice majority in November.
Will you rush $25 or whatever you can now to help us support our slate of pro-choice candidates on the ballot in November? Election Day is just 3 months away, the clock is ticking to defend abortion access →
