For more than 50 years, MSF has been vaccinating children and people in hard-to-reach places. Our teams have treated children in war zones, refugee camps, and rural areas cut off from health care.
When it comes to providing people with the medical treatment they need, adequate funding is vital to reach as many people as possible. Since Gavi was established in 2000, it is estimated to have saved the lives of 17 million children.
“When we vaccinate in the community, parents line up for hours to give their children a chance to be protected from these deadly diseases,” said Mihir Mankad, MSF’s global health advocacy and policy director in the US. “For these children, vaccination programs such as those supported through Gavi are a matter of life and death.”
MSF is only able to provide independent and impartial medical care because of the generous support from our generous donor community.
As needs grow in many of the areas that will be impacted by these cuts, your gift today can help us continue providing medical care to children and families around the world.
