I also want to share this special piece of encouragement for you: I believe God is calling us back to common sense. Thomas Paine talked about it. Our founding fathers lived it. Many of us were trained in common sense by our parents and grandparents.

But we have seen our culture run away from common sense - until now. I believe you can even feel this running back to the simple things - people are hungry for what is good, true, basic, decent and common sense minded. This short message from Dutch Sheets hit home for me. I hope it encourages you.

• Clergy Outreach: Our gathering in Wayne County (Brownstown Township) a few days ago was incredible. We gained great feedback as church leaders were able to have a robust dialogue on the issues they are facing, and ideas on how to engage the culture. Many left with a hunger for more. We are working now to organize more Clergy gatherings throughout the state. If you would like to partner with us and host one in your area please let us know.

• Michigan is almost the worst state for religious liberty according to this new report out.

• President Trump obtains steady stream of WINS for conservatives in Michigan (Detroit News article)

• Banning of cell phones in schools being considered: Secretary Kennedy is asking Michigan to take a stand. Many Christian and private K-12 schools are already doing this and seeing a positive difference in student attention spans, work habits, and social interactions with each other. Public school children would benefit no less.

National News that Impacts Michigan

We continue to monitor topics like these - very closely. If it's happening on the national (or international) level you have to anticipate it coming to Michigan.

• Throuples in Canada - we knew it was coming (the trajectory of no morals leads to additional bad policies upon bad policies). Special note: the reference to "CTV" in the article is not us, but a Canadian news source.

• AMA says "no" to assisted suicide - but yet it remains a big threat: "With several states having approved physician-assisted suicide, the American Medical Association (AMA) staked out a firm position opposing the practice."

• American College of Physicians (ACP) - one of largest physician organizations in America - is now considering whether to change their long term opposition to assisted suicide.

If you know any Physicians, Nurse Practitioners or Physicians who are members of the ACP please ask them to become involved in opposition to the 4 S25 and 5 S25 resolutions. Neutrality is NOT an acceptable option.
