Dear supporter,
The Christian Institute has launched a legal challenge against UK Civil Service participation in LGBT Pride.
The Civil Service is supposed to be impartial. But for years it has encouraged civil servants to attend Pride marches in an official capacity, and allowed the use of rainbow lanyards and ‘preferred pronouns’ in public-facing email signatures.

The law is clear that civil servants must maintain impartiality on controversial political issues. But the LGBTQ Pride movement and its hard-line gender ideology over things like puberty blockers and ‘self ID’ are profoundly political. It is inappropriate for civil servants to officially endorse such a movement.
Last month, Northumbria Police was told by the High Court that its participation in Northern Pride was unlawful because it is “political” and this could impact public trust in its ability to act “fairly and impartially”. The same principle applies to the Civil Service.
We are grateful to God for the opportunity to bring this important case. It could have major implications for the Civil Service across the UK, and ramifications for other public sector bodies.

Please pray:
- For Sam Webster, our in-house Solicitor-Advocate, as he works with our law firm Conrathe Gardner Solicitors.
- For our work with the media to ensure journalists understand what is at stake.
- For a court ruling that makes clear that official Civil Service celebration of LGBTQ ‘Pride’ is a breach of impartiality laws and must be halted for good.
