Yesterday marked five years since the Supreme Court ruled that all people — no matter their gender or sexual orientation — have the right to marry.
While this milestone in love deserves to be celebrated, true equality for the LGBTQ community has still not been enshrined into law.
That's why I am calling on the Senate to pass the Equality Act, which would expand nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ folks beyond the workplace and into other sectors like healthcare, housing, credit, education, and public services.
