Hello John,
I hope you're keeping well.
We’re excited to let you know that Children First Awareness Week ([link removed]) is back and will take place from 15th - 21st September 2025!
The National Child Protection Programme has planned a week-long suite of events, activities and promotions designed to shine a spotlight on safeguarding, celebrate the role of youth workers and volunteers, and support everyone working with children and young people to continue building safe, inclusive environments.
I already know it's going to be great - take me to registration! ([link removed])
What you need to know!
📅 When and where? The nationwide campaign will take place from Monday 15th to Sunday 21st of September 2025.
❓ What will I get out of attending? We invite you to join us for our in-person event to discuss the issue of Peer Abuse ([link removed]) , or for one or more of our webinar series, ([link removed]) focusing on topics such as:
* Domestic Violence
* Child Trafficking in Youth Work
* Recognising and Responding to Online Abuse
* Safeguarding and Youth Work
Whatever your interest we would love to see you!
🤔 Is it for me? If you are a youth worker, safeguarding officer, DLP, or a professional or volunteer working directly with young people, these events were made with you in mind!
💰 How much? All events are free.
😀 Check out the events and grab your place while you can!

We urge you to consider all the measures you take to promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people within your youth service, as well as the methods you use to discuss safeguarding with them. Plan an activity within your service to celebrate Children First Awareness Week and involve the young people. We look forward to hearing your ideas!
If you have any questions, please do get in touch.
Kind regards,
Siobhán
