Dear Supporter,

I am getting in touch one last time to ask you to donate ([link removed]) and support our campaigning to put passengers at the heart of the rail reform process.

Making rail reform work for passengers requires a strong, resilient campaign. If you can, please donate and help to deliver it.
Yes, I can donate ([link removed])
Your donation could help to put the passenger at the heart of the UK Government's rail reform process:
* Spark change with your donation – help commission a survey to capture the public’s voice on rail reform to power our campaigning.
* Be a force to bring people together – your support could help fund community events, uniting passionate individuals to shape the future of our railways.
* Champion practical solutions – your gift could help gather rail industry experts and ensure passengers’ needs and industry goals work hand in hand.

Rail is a vital part of our transport network and this is our chance to make sure it works better for passengers. Thank you for everything you do to help make sure all communities have access to high-quality, sustainable transport that meets their needs, improves quality of life, reduces inequality, and supports a vibrant, productive and decarbonised economy.

Best wishes

Michael Solomon Williams, Head of Campaigns, Campaign for Better Transport
P.S. If you are unable to donate right now, your words could help to shape our campaign. Please take a few moments to share why rail reform is important to you: [link removed]

If you have already sent us your donation form through the post and our messages are 'crossing in the mail', so to speak, thank you very much and please ignore my request.

Dear Supporter,

You may have seen my email last week, asking if you can donate and help to campaign to put passengers' needs first in rail decisions. The UK Government is reforming our railway, and it is vital we campaign to put passengers at the heart of decision making in this process and at the heart of decisions on rail in the future.

Can you donate ([link removed]) and help to make sure rail passengers' needs are prioritised?
Yes, I can donate ([link removed])
Maurice, from Bideford, shared his experience of travelling from Devon to London to receive health care:

“We don't have a station near us... I have recently been having medical treatment in Central London and I have to drive by car (no public transport) for around an hour to reach Tiverton Parkway to catch a fast train to Paddington in order to make the appointments. I have to be accompanied and the train fares, car parking, fuel, etc. comes to about £250 even with a discount card. This is public transport not fit for the 21st century.”

It is the experiences of people like Maurice, who show why we need a new approach to rail. Please can you donate in support of our rail reform campaigning and help to ensure people's needs are prioritised?
Yes, I can donate ([link removed])
Rail reform must place the needs of passengers at its heart. One of the longstanding criticisms of the current system is that it prioritises engineering, contracts and operations over the day-to-day experiences of the people who use rail. Together, we can help to build a better system that works for everyone.

Best wishes

Dear Supporter,

Our rail network is not working for passengers. It is often unaffordable and unreliable, and fares can be unfair and confusing. But it does not have to be this way. The UK Government is completely reviewing and reforming our rail system.

** It is vital we make sure the passenger is at the heart of rail reform, can you help to make that happen?

The rail reform process is set to be a long one, around two years. We need a strong and resilient campaign. Can you donate ([link removed]) and support a campaign focussed on making sure the passenger is heard in the rail reform process?
Yes, I can donate ([link removed])
Please help amplify the experiences of people for whom rail is not working. People like Emily from Chippenham, who may have to leave her job because of the ever-increasing expense of travelling to work in London:

“It's costing me almost two thirds more to get to work than it did this time last year, even booking tickets months in advance. I'm really sad that I'm probably going to have to leave the job I love as I just can't afford to get there anymore.”

I know times are tough right now, and you may not have the money spare to donate, but if you do, please help to put passengers at the heart of rail reform.

Be the force that brings people together – your support could help fund community events, uniting passionate individuals to shape the future of our railways.

Your donation could help to commission a survey to gather the public’s views on rail reform to inform our campaigning. It could help to hold public events to bring people together to discuss what they want from rail reform.

As well as finding out what matters most to rail passengers, we also need to make sure our recommendations will work in practice.

Your donation could help to bring together figures from the rail industry at round table events to understand how customers’ and industry priorities can align.
