Dear John,
Across the country, trans people are being targeted at every level of government. But we’re not just fighting back, we’re stepping up. At Advocates for Trans Equality, we’re building trans power by preparing and supporting the next generation of trans leaders to run for office—and win.

Next month, we’ll welcome a new cohort of aspiring trans elected officials for a one-of-a-kind training in partnership with the Victory Institute. I’ll be joined by trailblazing State Senator Danica Roem (VA) , who brings deep experience as a history-making public servant. First elected in 2017, Danica became the first openly transgender person to serve in any U.S. state legislature. This is just one piece of a growing, ambitious strategy to transform our politics:
* We’re coaching 12 trans candidates one-on-one on how to navigate the unique challenges of building authentic, community-rooted campaigns.
* Our candidate pipeline includes 80 courageous trans leaders preparing to run for office from 2025 through 2030 in local, state, and federal races.
* And we’re building the infrastructure to support trans political power for the long haul through intensive training, coaching, endorsements, and financial and logistical support that equips candidates with the tools to run and win.
Your gift powers the training, coaching, and support trans candidates need to lead in city halls, statehouses, and beyond. Right now, every dollar you give will be matched, thanks to a generous matching gift from a fellow supporter. Donate today to fuel a growing movement of trans leaders who are ready to step into their power—and into elected office. [[link removed]]
