The FDA is building a new tool to flag top-priority food chemicals that should be reviewed for health risks. And for a limited time, they’re asking for your input. Your voice could help decide how (and which) chemicals get reviewed.

This tool could drive future bans, phaseouts and recalls of harmful chemicals, and we only have this short window to shape it. The window to submit comments closes on August 18.

The FDA has let food additives, preservatives and packaging chemicals enter our diets for decades, with little to no safety review after approval. Now, your feedback could make our food safer.
