Over the past few days, you’ve heard from and about our incredible Democracy Summer Fellows.
Let me just say: I could not be prouder of these young organizers. They’re passionate, thoughtful, and determined. They’ve spent their summer learning what a campaign looks and feels like by knocking doors, writing postcards, organizing events, and just talking to people about what matters to them, and what we’re doing to fight for it.
The heart they’ve put into their work this summer reminds me of the importance of my call to service and the reason I got into this job in the first place. For the people. For THEIR future.
They didn’t choose to grow up in a moment like this — under an administration that is attacking education, the economy, their future, and even the basic truth. But they’ve stepped up anyway. And they’ve done it with more heart and focus than many adults I know.
