Help Feed Veterans It's been a rough few months...
And our veterans are in desperate need of our help. Over 1.5 million veterans were facing food insecurity before this pandemic began... but now, that number is rising quickly and the situation has become even more urgent and even more dangerous.
But together, we can ensure that veterans and their families are able to put food on the table.
Soldiers' Angels has maintained ALL Veteran Mobile Food Distributions throughout the health crisis and has increased services to meet the rising demand:
• Increased capacity at all events to serve more veterans.
• Purchased additional food items for distributions to supplement food bank shortages in items like meat and fresh produce.
• Included hygiene items that were difficult to come by, like toilet paper.
• Most importantly, partnered with delivery organizations, such as Meals on Wheels and GoodR, around the country in order to reach the most vulnerable veteran population— those that are homebound.
But we're not done. It's only June and this health crisis is far from over.
The increased need has strained our budget. Please help us continue to help our nation's veterans. The most basic form of gratitude we can show for their service is to ensure they have food to eat.
Two ways to give! Donate to our fundraiser on Facebook or on our website:
This young lady contributed to our Warm Feet for Warriors Campaign in such a BIG Way! This year, we extended the deadline for Warm Feet for Warriors to June 30 as a way to increase the amount of brand new socks we receive so that we can help support our troops and veterans. Madison held a sock drive in her hometown and collected roughly 1600 pairs of socks to donate to
Soldiers' Angels! Thank so much to Madison and everyone else that has donated to the campaign. If you're interested, it's not too late! Click the links below to take you straight to our Amazon Wish List or learn more about how to donate!

Meals on Wheels Partners with Soldiers' Angels We are all still feeling the challenging effects of Covid-19 in one way or another, however, one demographic that may be suffering the most are our veterans. Not only is there a large population of older veterans who are deemed high risk because of their age, there is also a large population of veterans who suffer from illnesses and injuries, making their risk even higher. Many veterans are homebound and have very little resources to get out and shop for groceries in a safe manner. To help get
these veterans food, Soldiers' Angels has partnered with Meals on Wheels in San Antonio, GoodR in Atlanta, and other similar agencies in markets across the country to deliver food directly to the doorstep of the most vulnerable veterans.

A Giving Heart In a Trying Time In our last newsletter, we proudly mentioned how Soldiers' Angels volunteer, Sandy Carter, won the VA's Female Volunteer of the Year by the Veteran Affairs National Advisory Council. While it was an amazing feat to have one of our own recognized for her hard work, it's just as amazing to have her featured on the the South Texas U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs website, sharing more of her story.
