As the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, I’ve made one thing clear: The fight for transparency around the Jeffrey Epstein files will not fizzle. Instead, we’re turning up the heat.

Here’s what we’re doing:

• We successfully subpoenaed the Department of Justice for the full Epstein files. The vote even passed with some Republicans breaking ranks, sending a message that we’re not backing down.
• We formally demanded that the Epstein estate release the so-called “birthday book,” a document that may contain messages from powerful figures and is crucial for accountability.
• And when Republicans tried to delay and recess early rather than vote, we called them out for shielding the powerful instead of serving the people.

This isn’t just politics. It’s about whether justice and truth matter, or whether privilege and power get them covered up. We cannot lose momentum.
