DEVELOPING — following an announcement that Trump’s EPA will eliminate the
foundation of all of its rules to fight climate change, they are now ALSO moving
to claw back $7 billion in funds set aside for solar projects in low-income
communities and communities of color throughout the country. The Trump administration just declared war on long-established climate science. We’re fighting back, and we need your support. [link removed] During one of the hottest summers humans have ever experienced on our planet,
with communities still struggling to recover from recent hurricanes, floods, and
wildfires, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin is officially moving to end the landmark
Endangerment Finding. This is the EPA’s science-based determination that greenhouse gases are harmful
to public health because they cause climate change, serving as a foundation for
all federal rules limiting greenhouse gases like carbon and methane. If Zeldin succeeds, it will be one of the most far-reaching and dangerous
actions of this presidency. Now, the EPA has also announced it will rescind over $7 billion in funding for
its Solar for All program, which provides access to cheap, affordable clean
energy for low-income communities — all just to prop up dirty, polluting fossil
fuels. The environmental movement needs to respond, and we need to be LOUD. We’re

as grounds to ignore science and reverse the law to roll back climate
protections, despite numerous court rulings saying they can’t and overwhelming
scientific evidence about climate change’s devastating impact on people’s lives.
