The Guardian: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reposts video that says women shouldn’t be allowed to vote

This is disgusting. The Trump Administration isn’t even bothering to hide its contempt for every woman. They don’t think we should have access to reproductive health care and the choice of starting a family. They don’t believe we should be able to vote and they certainly don’t believe we should be in office.

This may come as a shock to Pete Hegseth and all his right-wing friends, but we’re in the 21st century. And in the 21st century, women belong in the workplace. We belong in Congress. And we sure as hell belong in the democracy we helped build.

Let me be blunt for a moment: Many right-wing extremists truly think that I — as a wife and mother — have somehow betrayed my family by serving in Congress. I have been targeted relentlessly for having the audacity to serve after having a child and told to step down from my position.

And right now, those disturbing beliefs are gaining traction throughout the Republican Party — and that’s why I need your help.

Will you chip in right away to support Team Pettersen in the fights ahead? So many Republicans genuinely believe that I don’t belong in Congress, and they’re willing to spend whatever it takes to kick me out. Let’s prove them wrong — and show every extremist in America that women’s voices aren’t going anywhere:
