Dear John,

Throughout 2024, your unwavering commitment has been vital to World Land Trust (WLT) as we work with our conservation partners to protect some of the world’s most threatened habitats and wildlife. I’m delighted to share our
2024 Impact Report ([link removed]) – a celebration of the many successes you’ve helped make possible.

Despite major challenges – from flooding and drought to wildfires and political instability – our conservation partners remained steadfast. We now have 53 active partners delivering conservation around the globe and we were able to support 62 new projects over the past year alone.

Through its autumn appeal, WLT has provided funds to create the Provincial Protected Area which will help safeguard approximately 747,000 hectares (1.8 million acres), 14 unique ecosystems, and an incredible diversity of wildlife. Thanks to you, our partners protected over 244,000 hectares (603,000 acres) of irreplaceable habitat, planted 248,000 trees, and supported more than 300 community rangers – securing a brighter future for both people and wildlife.

2024’s Spring Appeal, Connecting Ukuwela, helped create a wildlife corridor in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal region, while our Autumn Appeal, Protecting the Ecuadorian Amazon is enabling the creation of a vast 747,000-hectare (1.8 million-acre) Provincial Protected Area – safeguarding unique and precious wildlife, supporting Indigenous communities, and locking away carbon.

This report ([link removed]) celebrates the difference you’ve made – and the power of collective action to tackle the climate and biodiversity crises. Thank you for standing with us.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Catherine Barnard
