Dear Friend,
As your governor, I’ve made it a top priority for myself and my team to listen to Michiganders and engage with communities across our state so that we can work to solve the problems that matter most to you and your family.
That’s why—this year—my team is ramping up our efforts to engage with communities across Michigan. So far in 2025, my constituent services team has hosted more than 20 community events, including resource fairs and coffee hours, to hear directly from folks in-person about the challenges they’re facing. This year, my team has also begun sending direct surveys to people like you so that Michiganders can make their voices heard and share their opinions on important topics, from Medicaid to lowering costs.

Your voice matters and directly impacts the decisions of elected officials across our state and in Washington. I want you to know that we hear you and are committed to working hard to address Michigander’s top concerns—from lowering costs to fixing the damn roads.
Over the last several years, by listening to Michiganders, we’ve been able to get a lot done.
* We have lowered costs for working families, putting thousands back in their pockets by making education from pre-K through college more affordable.
* We are feeding all 1.4 million public school students free breakfast and lunch.
* We have grown our economy with new business investments, and we used every tool in our economic development toolbox to continue bringing supply chains home, creating good-paying jobs, and leading the future of advanced manufacturing.
* We delivered record funding for our local first responders to keep communities safe, and we secured a game-changing investment in Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
* We protected Michiganders’ fundamental freedoms and, of course, kept fixing the damn roads.
Right now, I know there is a lot of uncertainty in our national economy and about the decisions being made in Washington. I have a job to do—make Michigan the best place to live, work, and raise a family. I’ll work with anyone who is serious about solving problems. And I will continue to listen to Michiganders like you and your family as we work together to build a brighter future for Michigan.
Sincerely,

Governor
Summer Event Recap
This summer, our office went on the road! My office held coffee hours in Ann Arbor, Monroe, Grand Rapids, and Holland, with more on the list. We also brought our signature “Executive Office of the Governor on the Road” resource fair to Muskegon, Detroit, Flint, and Redford where Michiganders joined us and had the opportunity to ask questions, share opinions and ideas, and get direct help.
We were joined by various state agencies, staff from federal and state legislators’ offices, and even local representatives.
Let us know where you’d like to see us go next!
