It was only last month that the Trump Administration succeeded in slashing Medicaid services and cutting food assistance programs. This administration has imposed reckless and heartless cuts, driven by the notion that we could no longer afford to care for our most vulnerable neighbors.

Yet somehow, President Trump has found $200 million in taxpayer dollars to fund an enormous expansion of the White House. Specifically, he’s building a huge, golden ballroom [[link removed]] . While millions of Americans will struggle to put food on the table this month, this Administration is focused on hosting fancier parties.

Already, Trump has added golden medallions and glitzy light fixtures to the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room. Is the Trump Administration so disconnected from working Americans that they think now is the time to build a ballroom??

Working Americans will remember this Administration’s priorities in November.
