Hey John. It’s Representative Julie Johnson — Happy Pride Day!

This Pride Month, we celebrate the contributions, the activism, and the hard-won victories of LGBTQ+ community — including the recent Supreme Court decision extending federal employment law protections to millions of LGBTQ+ workers.

But Texas Republicans are trying to roll back the clocks and drag us into the past. It’s 2020 and many of them still oppose equality for all people.

During my first session, we stopped the discriminatory Chick-Fil-A bill from passing the House floor at the last minute — and I plan to continue protecting all Texans from hate.
