We are getting close to final decision time, and Governor Newsom needs to know:

Do you think California should go forward with a plan to redistrict if Texas or other Republican states do the same?

If we go forward, it won't be easy.

In California, we have to go to the ballot and Republicans and their allies will spend huge amounts of money to defeat us.

And we can't afford to lose. Because if we lose in California, Republicans will feel as if they can redistrict whenever they want, wherever they want without fear.

It is a damn shame it's come to this. These gerrymandered districts are awful.

But Democrats can't just sit there and act holier than thou while we watch our democracy be totally degraded.

It'll be a tough campaign, and that's why before we go forward Governor Newsom needs to know:
