John,

The Israeli government has announced a complete invasion of the Gaza Strip, and the IDF just murdered five Al Jazeera staff in Gaza including its most prominent reporter, Anas al-Sharif.

We are witnessing the worst of humanity, and all our leaders are doing is issuing meaningless statements of condemnation. We have had ENOUGH of this impunity — enough of witnessing millions of Palestinians starved, mutilated, and killed.

It’s time citizens of the world unite with one loud and clear message:

No more statements of condemnation.

No more “keeping dialogue open” to allow trickles of aid deliveries.

No more complicity in ethnic cleansing and genocide.

We call on every government in the world to urgently suspend trade and sanction Israel NOW.

After Israel announced its plans to invade all of Gaza City, nine governments issued a joint statement on Saturday “condemning” the plan. Another useless statement that has no teeth and no real accountability for Israel.

At the beginning of July the EU resisted our calls to sanction Israel, saying it is relying on a humanitarian deal to allow aid into Gaza and the need to keep dialogue with the Israeli government open. That deal was a total farce — a convenient way for the EU to shirk responsibility and avoid holding Israel to account.

Since that shameful humanitarian deal, at least 37 Palestinian babies have died from acute malnutrition.

Bombs continue to rain down on the Gaza Strip, with the latest massacre killing five Al Jazeera staff in their tent outside of Al Shifa hospital. These reporters have been a *vital* source of information since no international media have been allowed to enter the strip.

Some governments are acting unilaterally — like Slovenia suspending arms sales and imports from illegal settlements, and even Germany now blocking arms exports used in Gaza. But this is too little too late. We need *real* accountability. Real measures that will force Israel to stop this maddening genocide.

We are launching newspaper ads all over the world to ramp up pressure on our governments to act. EU Foreign Ministers will meet at the end of this month, and governments everywhere are deciding next steps. How the world responds to this moment could either save millions of people or spell the end.

It's easy to feel hopeless, but our community is making a difference. Maersk, a key target of our campaigns, agreed to suspend shipments to/from illegal settlements after we co-filed a shareholder resolution and launched a major global campaign. We also co-filed a Microsoft resolution with an unprecedented number of co-filers thanks to this very community of shareholders and we know executives are now feeling the heat. And the major UN report published recently exposing the companies fueling genocide (and which we know executives are taking seriously) included information provided by our campaigners and researchers.

We still have a long road ahead, but each action we take brings us one step closer to stopping Israel's genocide.
