It takes a lot to win a statewide election: an army of volunteers to make calls and knock on doors, town halls, emails like this and, yes, television ads.

In fact, we have an ad on the air right now that's helping get our health care message out to Louisiana voters. And with Election Day right around the corner, it's crucial to keep our ad on the air – especially with my opponents running their attack ads against me.

That's why we've set a goal to raise $20,000 by midnight to keep our campaign ad on the air, and I hope you'll watch for yourself to see why it's so important. Getting our message out is what it takes to win – and it's your generous donation that makes it possible. 

So I'm asking: Please rush a contribution of $5 or more – and watch our ad – so we can hit this goal, win reelection in October and keep Louisiana moving forward.
